Microsoft reportedly in talks with Verizon for Microsoft-branded smartphone; denies “Zune-specific” phone

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Microsoft and Verizon are in talks over launching a Microsoft-branded smartphone to compete with Apple’s iPhone.
