HTC 2010 line-up leaked….
You may have seen a previous post of ours, listing 20 names of previously un-heard of HTC handsets, well, we now have some pictures, and specs to put to the names of some of these thanks to a handset road map that has supposedly leaked from HTC HQ. First up we have what have been dubbed “Lifestyle” handsets:
The Legend is heavily reminiscent of the Hero, said to have a 3.2″ OLED capacative touch screen, a 5.0 megapixel camera with flash and autofocus, HSDPA, Wi-Fi and a 600MHz Qualcomm MSM 7227 processor; the Legend looks set to the be successor to the Hero. The Salsa on the other hand, is a QWERTY packing, ultra-thin (8.6mm) handset touting a 2.6″ QVGA touchscreen with Wi-Fi, GPS and HSDPA (Targeted at the likes of the Nokia E72 perhaps?)
Next up, the “Social” category. Fist of all, we have the Buzz, with a 3.2″ QVGA Capcative Touchscreen, 5.0 megapixel camera with Autofocus, Flash and Face tagging, Wi-Fi, GPS, HSDPA and a Qualcomm MSN7225 528 mhz processor to boot. Secondly, the Tide, which looks unlike any HTC seen before (numeric keypad?) The Tide boasts a 2.68″ QVGA Touchscreen, 3.2 megapixel camera with Autofocus, MicroSD support, Wi-Fi, GPS and HSDPA as well as a similar processor to that found in the Buzz.
The Bravo makes up what has been dubbed the “Performance” section; boasting a 3.7″ WVGA capacitive touchscreen, a 5.0 megapixel camera with Auto focus, flash and more importantly HD (720p as oppose to the full 1080p) video capture, MicroSD support, Wi-Fi, GPS, HSDPA, Compass, G Sensor and an Optical Joystick. Oh, we forgot to mention the 1Ghz SnapDragon processor powering the Brave. This is probably the handset we most want to get our hands on, if for nothing else, for the HD video capture!
The last of the groups is the “Productivity” group. The first handset has been dubbed the Photon, and eagle-eyed readers might notice that this handset bears a striking resemblance to the current HD2, however, as oppose to being a successor, the Photo appears to be a mid-range version of the HD2, boasting a 3.2 megapixel camera (as oppose to 5.0) and a Qualcomm 600 mhz processor as oppose to the SnapDragon chipset in the HD2. Otherwise, the Photon appears to offer alot of the functionality found on the HD2. The Trophy is near-on identical in terms of specs, to the Photon, except it offers a slightly stronger battery, a smaller screen and a full QWERTY hardware keyboard. Finally, the Tera, with a form factor heavily reminiscent of the N97 Mini; in that it incorporates an arc-sliding mechanism, a 3.02 resistive touchscreen, Wi-Fi, GPS, MicroSD support, a 3.2 megapixel camera and a 600 mhz Qualcomm processor. The Tera looks to have the N97 Mini firmly in it’s sights.
All of the above handsets, aside from the final three “Productivity” handsets, run on Google’s Android OS, where the Photon, Trophy and Tera run on Windows Mobile OS, and all of the handsets are rumoured to be scheduled for release in the first half of 2010.
