HTC HD2 in stock now at Mobiles.co.uk!

The wait is finally over, the HTC HD2 has launched and is in stock now at Mobiles.co.uk. Whilst it may feel like forever and a day since we first caught glimpses of the HTC Leo (it’s only been a few months!), HTC have still managed to keep our excitement levels through the roof with a series of leaks, the official announcement and then the subsequent teaser videos that followed. But today you can breath a sigh of relief as HTC will be able to tease us no more. The HTC HD2 is in stock at Mobiles.co.uk!

The focal point of the HD2 is unsurprisingly the touchscreen display; at 4.3 inches it’s the biggest ever seen on a mobile phone and looks fantastic. Incredibly sharp and crisp and with bright natural colours, the display on the HD2 is a feast for the eyes and makes browsing the web and watching movies a joy. We’d go as far as to say that when it comes to watching movies on the go, the HD2 is the best we’ve ever used. Great visuals is one thing but a touchscreen phone is nothing without said touchscreen being user friendly and responsive. HTC have thought of this and opted for a capacitive screen, as used by the iPhone and Palm Pre, which provides an ultra responsive user experience. The phone also supports multi-touch technology so actions such as pinch zooming in the photo gallery and on maps are all possible with the HD2.

Away from the touchscreen (we could go on about it all day), the HTC HD2 is easily one of the most powerful Windows Mobile phones ever made thanks to the onboard 1GHz snapdragon processor and 448 MB of RAM. Applications launch effortlessly, navigating menus is equally quick and the HD2 will also multi task (run multiple applications) without breaking a sweat. Windows Mobile 6.5 is nicely complimented by HTC’s Sense UI which gives users multiple home screens to access and customise, aggregates contacts from multiple channels (Facebook, Twitter etc.) into your main contacts list and also keeps tabs of your friends showing you their recent photo uploads.

Elsewhere it’s pretty much par for the course for HTC. A 5.0 Megapixel camera should handle all your photographic needs and the inclusion of a dual LED flash should mean the fun doesn’t end when the sun goes down. Connectivity is covered by HSDPA, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and the phone also benefits from built in GPS with A-GPS support, a comprehensive multimedia player (skinned as Windows Media player) and expandable memory up to 16GB. Whilst it’s a late entry, the HTC HD2 is easily a strong contender for phone of the year. In stock now on Vodafone and O2, click here to check out our latest offers.
