Jabra BT3010 Bluetooth Headset Review

When the Jabra BT3010 was launched during the last year it was one of the first Bluetooth headsets that were designed with an interchangeable cover design. The Bluetooth headset however does not add anything to the performance or features of the device but is an excellent and personalized touch for those people who are keen customize their gadgets. The company Jabra has launched their successor which is called as the BT3010. This Bluetooth headset is available for about £15 and the device has most of the features with the performance as that of their previous BT160. however it boasts of a slightly unique design as it includes as many as 33 unique designs in this package. There are also options to design your own cover that you will find at their official website.

The Design

Apart from its innovative interchangeable cover design the new Jabra BT3010 is just like the standard Bluetooth headsets. When you measure the device it is nearly 24mm by 50mm and this Bluetooth headset is available in a very elegant black plastic casing. The front cover of the Jabra BT3010 is transparent and there is an option to take it off so that you replace it with other faceplate designs.

The three buttons are at the very top of the design cover and you will find the multifunction button at the middle of the device with two volume buttons at either sides of the device.  Most of the people might find all these three buttons to be a bit small for their liking although they all are sufficiently raised above the surface of the headset. You will also find that the volume buttons to be a bit tiny. However the multifunctional button is designed with a LED indicator light to be liked by all.

When you turn the headset over you will find a very simple earpiece made of rubber including an optional ear hook. Most of the people might find this earpiece to be little loose and so you can use the earpiece to keep the device in place. You can rotate the ear piece to fit perfectly. The earpiece however would just fit comfortable within the outer folds of your ear almost outside and it can be a bit inconvenient for some people. You will however enjoy the most through the headset when used for a short period.

Features

Some of the features included in the Jabra BT3010 Bluetooth headset is the regular call ending and answering with rejecting calls. There are also features like voice dialing support, last number redial, three party calling, call waiting and also the capability to transfer the incoming calls to the phone from the headset and vice versa. The Jabra BT3010 is also designed with a carrying strap.

Performance

The call quality that is received from this headset is very decent but not very spectacular. Most of the callers have reported that the voice had sounded a bit muffled and it also included his in the background. The device has a rated talk time which is about 8 hours including a rated standby time of about 12.5 day.
