Sony Ericsson Kurara leaks sporting HD video capture!

The Sony Ericsson Kurara has been outed online once again, though this time it’s giving away more than just its design. For those of you with your finger on the pulse of technology, you’ll be familiar with the Kurara. Whilst still entirely unofficial at this point, the Sony Ericsson Kurara (a working title) is expected to follow in the footsteps of the Sony Ericsson Satio as a touchscreen-toting Symbian smartphone. In the original leak the Kurara was reported to be sporting an 8.0 Megapixel camera so how is this a step up from the 12 Megapixel Satio you ask? Well, this bad boy’s rocking HD video capture.

Clearly visible in the latest leaked images, we can see an ‘HD’ logo on the back of the phone sitting happily next to the camera lens. Video capture is expected to max out at 720p, not quite hitting the heights of 1080p but then this is a mobile phone after all. The Kurara also trumps the Satio with a 3.5mm audio jack and microUSB charger point bringing an end to Sony Ericsson’s irritating proprietary ports! So, HD video capture, 8.0 Megapixel camera, Symbian OS, touchscreen; haven’t we seen all this before? Yes the Kurara raises fond memories of the Samsung i8910 HD, the first ever phone to feature HD video capture.

We must stress again at this point that the Sony Ericsson Kurara has yet to be officially announced but combine this with the recently announced and upcoming Xperia X10 and Sony Ericsson could be planning to kick start 2010 with a couple of cracking phones. Keep an eye on the blog and we’ll keep you updated on any more info as we get it and a special thanks to GSM Arena for the images.
