Google Voice adds missed call notifications

Today Google announced that its Google Voice client will now alert you of missed calls. The notification will appear in your Google invoice inbox, and you can also receive an email alert. To activate the missed call alert option, open the Calls tab in your Google Voice Settings menu.

Google TV to debut this fall in the U.S.

Google’s CEO, Eric Schmidt, said that Google TV will launch in the United States this fall during the IFA tradeshow in Berlin. The Google TV service runs Android 2.1 and allows users to surf the web and run Android applications (provided they’re supported) on their TV. Google TV uses Google’s Chrome web browser, which will also be supported on tablet computers. Sony has said that it will offer Google TV services on its televisions and Samsung could follow suit. Samsung Galaxy Tab – $200 to $300, 10M units shipped in 2011

During an interview with The Wall Street Journal, a Samsung product executive, Hankil Yoon, said that he expects Samsung’s new Android powered Galaxy Tab tablet to retail for $200-$300. That price could vary depending on carrier subsidies. Samsung is expecting to ship as many as 10 million of the devices globally next year. HTC Desire Android 2.2 Froyo update halted by O2

O2 in the UK has halted all downloads of its recently released Android 2.2 Froyo update for the HTC Desire smartphone. A small number of users have reported issues installing the new Froyo update and others have complained of the phone hanging while displaying the O2 logo during the power-on sequence.
